YouAre Theme since version 0.1 had multi-language support with automatic language detection (wp-config.php): English, Spanish (es), and Catalan.

From now on, we also have French (fr_CA) and Portuguese (pt_BR).

Patrick has translated YouAre Theme to french, giving us a “french canadian” version. We have modified the “recherche” term (translated by Patrick) into “Allez” to have the text over the button correctly.

Thanks for all the downloads for the first version. It’s been 1 month since we released version 0.1 and we are very happy with the possitive feedback we have received.

Today we have launched version 0.2 which includes:

• 3 new colour schemes (blue-blue, brown-brown, brown-green)
• Numerical Pagination.

  In version 0.1 the plugin WP Page Numbers was needed, but now it is not and we have integrated WP-Pagenavi in functions.php.

• Gravatar Favicon in functions.php

Protect your WordPress installation. Speed tips for non-geeks.

1. Remove the ‘admin’ username

   Create a new user with administration rights using the WordPress Dashboard and delete ‘admin’. Give the user a nickname (for public display) that is not the same as the username.

2. Change default password to your WordPress blog. Don’t use stupid passwords. Just to be on the safe side, mix letters and numbers.
3. Remove the WordPress Version Number.

   Every WP theme, in its header.php file has a line like this:
   <meta name="generator" content="WordPress 2.8.1" />

   Having this information publicly available makes it easy for attackers to exploit known vulnerabilities on a particular WP version.

   • Just edit the functions.php file in the Theme and add the following line.:
     remove_action('wp_head', 'wp_generator');
     right before the closing php tag ?>
   • Delete readme.html
4. By default, the following folders are protected: wp-include/, wp-content/, wp-content/plugins/, and wp-content/themes/.
   But in many WP installations it is possible to view a list of installed plugins and themes. Create a blank index.html file to place into wp-content/plugins and /wp-content/themes/ folders.
